Money
Free? Seriously?
The software costs nothing during the beta. The catch is the checks: a few cents each, paid by you to DataForSEO from your own account. Track 100 prompts weekly (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews) and it comes to roughly $4.77 a month.

What happens after the beta?
Paid plans, and they'll cost under $10 a month. Beta users hear about it before anyone else.

What's DataForSEO got to do with it?
It's where the data comes from, and you pay it yourself, at its price, so I don't skim a markup off the top. There's no subscription: you top up at least $50 and spend it as you go. When you add your key, it gets verified, encrypted at rest and used for your checks only.
Which engine is expensive?
Claude. It's billed on tokens plus web searches, which lands at about 5 cents an answer. The other four cost under a cent each. Want Claude anyway? 25 prompts weekly across all five engines, Claude included, runs about $7.00 a month.
Can it run up a bill behind my back?
No. You see a quote for every batch before a cent gets spent. Anything that spends on autopilot (re-checks, the weekly prompt scan) is an opt-in module, switched off by default, and it stays under a spending cap you approve.

Engines
Which engines are on the board?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews. Add an OpenRouter model that can search the web and it joins the board too.

Real ChatGPT or some API?
The real thing. ChatGPT and Gemini get scraped from their consumer apps by DataForSEO's LLM Scraper. Perplexity and Claude are asked over their APIs, web search on. AI Overviews get pulled off Google's results page.

What about Google AI Mode or Copilot?
Neither is tracked. I'd rather track five engines properly than list ten on a pricing page.
Can I track other countries?
For live checks, yes: they run in whatever market you pick. Discovery is more limited: its ChatGPT index is US English only, while the Google one spans 94 locations.
Trusting the numbers
AI answers change constantly. Isn't this all noise?
A single answer is noise. A few hundred make a trend. That's why each rate carries a likely range plus the count of answers under it, and tiny moves get greyed out as normal wobble.

How do you count a mention?
Whole words only. 'Hub' doesn't score as 'HubSpot', and a bare URL doesn't score as a mention at all. Click any mention to jump to the saved answer it came from.
Why do some numbers say 'not reported'?
Because not every engine hands over everything. Gemini and AI Overviews keep their searches to themselves, so you get 'not reported', never a made-up zero.
Clients
Can I track a bunch of clients?
Sure, there's no cap on clients or sites. No per-client pricing, no 'upgrade to Agency' button.
More: Profound alternative
What do I send the client?
Pick one: a one-page PDF report, a read-only share link you can kill whenever you like, or an XLSX file, one citation per row. Whatever reaches the client shows zero prices and never names a data provider.

Getting in
How do I get in?
Drop your email on the beta page. Once there's room, I send you a single-use link that dies after 7 days. Set a password, add your DataForSEO key, and every check runs on that key, the first one included.
How long is the wait?
It depends how fast I fix what the last batch broke. No date promised. When your turn comes you get one email, and that's it.
What do you do with my email?
It sits in a database next to the site you typed in, and I use it for exactly one thing: your invite. I don't send newsletters, I don't sell addresses, and this site runs no tracking cookies.
