Prompt best booking app for hair salons

A salon books well when clients can grab a slot at midnight without calling and stylists see the whole day at a glance. Salon owners tend to shortlist these:

Shortlist

  1. Shearmont - a smooth pick for salons that want online booking, deposits and rebooking prompts under one login.
  2. Fringeton - very complete, but setup takes weeks and the monthly bill grows with every stylist.

Tip: Check that client notes and color formulas survive the import from your old system.

What you get on every engine

What an AI rank tracker actually measures

Forget ten blue links. An AI answer drops a handful of brand names in some order, tacks on a few sources, and that's your SERP. An AI rank tracker logs your spot in that line-up for every prompt on every engine: named or not, where you sit among the brands you track, who got first place, and whether your site made the sources (the AI citation tracker digs into those).

And it runs on prompts, not keywords. First you dig up what people actually ask: prompts that already cite your domain or a rival's, questions around a topic, or a list you paste in. Keep the good ones, then fire them at whichever engines you pick.

Five engines, and how each one is asked

How an engine is asked changes what you can trust, so here it is plainly. Each of the four chat engines has its own rank tracker page with the details; this one puts all five on one board.

Want more? In Settings you can plug in any OpenRouter model that has search, and it's tracked as an extra engine.

Google AI Overview

The AI Overview is taken from Google's results page for the prompt, in the country and language you set. It's the one engine where no answer is normal: plenty of queries get no overview at all. The tracker stores that as its own outcome, "No overview", never as a loss. So it doesn't drag your visibility down, and you can still see that the check ran.

When Google does show one, you get the overview text, the brands in the order it named them and every link it cited. The regular blue links ride along in the same response, but that's Google ranking pages, not the AI reading them, so I keep them out of the source counts. One AI Overview check is about 0.20 cents; 100 prompts a week runs about $0.87 a month.

Checks: each tracked prompt against ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overview, named and cited per cell, with No overview cells
One check: every prompt against five engines. Named (M), cited (C), and 'No overview' where Google showed none.

One scoreboard, and every number opens the answer

Overview and Ranking throw every engine onto one board: six rates for you and each competitor you track, any period, all engines or just one. Next to them sit the AI Visibility Score and the Opportunity Score.

Click any number and the answer behind it opens: brands highlighted, named in their actual order, each source with the snippet it came with, and the provider's raw response stored right beside it. Number looks fishy? Go check it yourself. No black-box score to take on faith.

What it costs

Run 100 prompts a week on the four cheap engines and it's about $4.77 a month; add Claude and drop to 25 weekly prompts across all five, about $7.00. Put in your own prompt count and the AI tracking cost calculator does the maths.

The tool is free while it's in beta. Paid plans come later and will cost under $10 a month.

How it's measured

Six rates: visibility, position, share of voice, win rate, sentiment and used as a source. Every rate carries its likely range and how many answers it stands on, and changes only count prompt and engine pairs that got asked in both periods. The AI Visibility Score and the Opportunity Score are both weighted by search demand, formulas out in the open.

How a check runs

How it works
  1. Add prompts

Take what discovery digs up, or drop in a list you already have.

  2. Get a quote

Calls, estimate and ceiling, before a single request goes out.

  3. Read the board

Who got named, in what order, and which sites got cited.

Questions people ask

Which AI engines does it track?

Five out of the box: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview. Bolt on any OpenRouter model that can search and it joins them. No Google AI Mode, no Microsoft Copilot.

Are all the engines scraped from their apps?

Only two of them. DataForSEO's LLM Scraper pulls ChatGPT and Gemini straight out of their apps. Perplexity gets its prompts via the Sonar API, Claude via Anthropic's API with web search on, and nobody scrapes perplexity.ai or claude.ai. Google's AI Overview is lifted off Google's results page.

What happens when Google shows no AI Overview?

It's recorded as 'No overview', an outcome of its own. It's left out of your rates instead of counting as a miss, and you still see that the check ran.

How is rank worked out across engines?

Two numbers. Position: your average spot in the line-up of tracked brands, read from the order they appear in each answer's text. Win rate: the slice of answers where you're the first brand named. One answer is one vote, whichever engine gave it.

Can I track only some of the engines?

Yes. You choose the prompts and the engines per check, and you see the price before a single request goes out. Skip Claude and 100 weekly prompts run about $4.77 a month.
