Why people go looking for a Peec AI alternative

Peec's Starter plan is $95 a month for 50 prompts, 3 models picked from 6, and 1 project. Pro is $245 for 150 prompts and 2 projects. Advanced is $495 for 350 prompts and 5 projects. Want a fourth model? That's another $30 a month on Starter, $70 on Pro or $140 on Advanced, billed annually. Perplexity and Claude show up under Enterprise in their plan comparison table, which means a custom price.

For a brand tracking itself, fine. For an SEO with eight clients, it gets bloody expensive. One project on Starter, five on Advanced, and a prompt cap that runs dry the first afternoon you do proper discovery. One client can turn up more than 50 prompts worth tracking on its own.

The full breakdown, plan by plan and answer by answer, is on the Peec AI pricing page.

Where Peec AI is better

Fair's fair. Peec is a finished product with a team behind it, and this is an invite-only beta built by one SEO. Peec wins on:

  • Engines: Peec offers Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Naver AI, and up to 13 models on Enterprise. I don't track AI Mode, Copilot or Naver at all.
  • Plumbing: CSV, an API (from Pro, per their comparison table), MCP and a Looker Studio connector on Advanced. Here there's no API and no Looker Studio.
  • Daily tracking included, with unlimited users even on Starter. Here, daily checks are an opt-in module, and each login gets its own workspace.
  • Traffic data: Peec reads AI crawler visits and AI referrals through CDN and log integrations. I only check your robots.txt for about 50 AI crawlers.

And credit where it's due: the visibility, share of voice and position numbers here follow the definitions Peec made popular. They got that part right.

Where this one is better

  • No prompt cap, no model add-ons: every answer is priced on its own and every batch shows a quote first. 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview, checked every day, comes to about $6.60 a month at DataForSEO's prices. Weekly, about $0.95. Peec's 350-prompt Advanced shape, daily, is about $46.20 here.
  • Perplexity and Claude without a sales call: they're ordinary engines here, with their own Perplexity rank tracker and Claude rank tracker. Claude is the pricey one at about 5 cents an answer, and the quote says so before you send anything.
  • Clients and sites without a ceiling: no project count to buy your way up to.
  • The receipts: for every answer you keep the raw response, the brand lineup in mention order, the links it pulled and the searches the engine ran.
  • A work list: gap analysis ranks the sites that got cited in answers naming a rival but not you. Actions converts that into a to-do of pages to write and places to get a mention, each with a brief.
  • Client reports: a one-page PDF, a read-only share link and an XLSX with one citation per row.

Who should stay with Peec AI

Stay if you need AI Mode, Copilot or Naver. Stay if your reporting runs through Looker Studio or an API, or if ten people need to log into the same project. Stay if your company buys software through procurement and wants SSO and an annual contract; an invite-only beta won't survive that meeting. And stay if you never want to see a DataForSEO account. Here you bring your own, with a $50 minimum top-up.

How to switch from Peec AI

  1. Get your prompt list out of Peec. They list CSV export; if that's fiddly, copy the prompts by hand.
  2. Request an invite. When it lands, add the client, the site and the competitors you tracked in Peec.
  3. Paste the prompts. They're marked as yours, kept apart from the ones discovery finds.
  4. Pick engines, read the quote, run. From check one, it all runs on your DataForSEO account.

Your Peec history stays in Peec. Here the clock starts at your first check, and each one after it becomes a dated snapshot you can line up against any other. Want proof before you cancel? Run both on the same prompts for a few weeks.

Questions people ask

Is this a Peec AI clone?

No. The headline numbers use the definitions Peec made popular (visibility, share of voice, position), because they're good definitions. The model is different: no plans with prompt caps, each answer is paid to DataForSEO at cost, and while the beta lasts I charge nothing for the tool.

Does it track Google AI Mode, Copilot or Naver like Peec does?

No. The engines here are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview, plus whichever web-search OpenRouter models you add. If your clients care about AI Mode or Copilot, Peec has them and I don't.

Can I bring my Peec prompts with me?

Yes. Paste them into a site and they're tracked like any other prompt, marked as your own. Your Peec history doesn't come along; history here starts with your first check.

What do 50 prompts a day cost here?

About $6.60 a month on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview at DataForSEO's prices, or $0.95 if weekly is enough. Add Perplexity or Claude and it goes up, and the quote shows by how much before anything runs.

Is there an API or a Looker Studio connector?

No. You get an XLSX export, a PDF and a read-only share link. If your client reporting lives in Looker Studio, Peec's Advanced plan has the connector.
